Why should somebody buy the new MacBook Air?

Well, for several reasons:

a) It is really light. Only

b) It is really fast. You can choose from Core i5 to Core i7.

c) SSD is a must have. Even if it has little space, it is so fast that changes completely the way you work with your macbook air. You will just put it in sleep. It is now safe. You will not have more disks with bad sectors… It is SSD. No more physical moving parts…

d) 4 GB RAM is really nice. It is more than enough to most of the tasks including developing apps in xCode, editing video and photos.

The only con is the price a little bit salt. But the machine is really good. The question is which one? 11″ or 13″.

I do prefer 13″ due to the 7 hours battery.

It makes the difference if you are a road warrior…

I had lots of expectation on OSX Lion, but it is not so good …

Problems:

a) It is slower that Snow Leopard in network file operations, and in several apps.

b) The File Version sometimes is not so good in desktop as it is in others platforms. For example. Sometimes you want to save the file with a new name and now the file menu will show only save a new version. Versions are saved on the same file…

c) Where are my spaces!?? It is now a lot different, and I personally prefer the old one…

d) Where are the Library folder!? OSX Lion will hide it by default, but you can change this setting…

The new smart cover for iPad 2 is very nice, but has problems too…

Several times the Smart Cover slides out of position when the iPad 2 is into a bag, resulting in the iPad waking, running, and being nearly out of batter life when you need it.

But there is a solution. Just turn off the Auto Wake in Settings, problem taken care of.

Day 25, March was the lunch of iPad 2 in Europe. In Portugal, we also had 25 as the lunch day, but only a few units were sent to main stores.

In less than 20 minutes it was all gone. In short, I could not get one…

Today, day 29, I got one from mBit. A computer shop in Coimbra, Portugal.

When I opened the box, I saw an “iPad” lettering… Oops, it was supposed to be “iPad II”, or not!?

No. Apple used the name iPad and not iPad II on the devices and boxes…

The device is a little thinner and lighter. And best of all, it now has a front camera… And a back one too…

The image quality is not very good in poor light condition. The resolution is also medium. Don’t expect the same quality of the iPhone 4 camera. It is a lot worse…

But in good light conditions, I think the camera quality is ok.

iOS 4.3 is out for a while now. I try it on my iPhone and it is really nice. However, I did try the iTunes 10.2.1 together and got some problems. My iPhone 4 was not recognized any more by iTunes 10.2.1. I had to do all Mac OS X updates and then restart the MacBook Pro in order to put iTunes and iPhone sync again.

So, what is new on iOS 4.3. For me, the best feature is the WiFi Personal HotSpot. You can now share your GSM 3G Internet connection to any other device you have with you (up to 3 devices).

It is very easy to configure it. Just go to Settings > Personal HotSpot.

Then, just turn it on and choose a WiFi password. It is done.

Cat Physics is basically to throw a ball from one cat to another:

Easy? But wait it gets better, it has arrows to direct the ball to the white cat. Thats how you can win over the obstacles:

The physics are very realistic, makes since, the title is Cat PHYSICS.

The animation is poor but what matters is that the ball it self.

The better you throw  more points you gain:

Theres not very much to say about this game; theres trap doors, buttons walls…

No I don´t recommend this game to anyone I know, but if you like throwing balls at your cat you can bring your hobby with you on your iphone, or if you like physics type of games this is for you…

I guess all my reviews are made by my opinion, so i think this game isn’t worth your maney.

Cut the rope, is a very fun game, it´s as simple as doing just that… Cu-ting a rope.

Well not that easy you have to think how are you going to cut it so you that the candy falls to this green friend:

The story is: this green friendly alien called Om Nom came in a box to your front door.

Now, he really likes candy and thats your job: giving him candy.

The candy is stock with a rope and you have to cut it in order to Om Nom eat it.

Has you progress the box becomes more complex and difficult to feed him.

There is bobbles that makes the candy go up, theres spiky walls that breaks the candy, spiders and more…

The physics of the game is very realistic, witch makes it more fun…

I don´t know about you but, I never thought that cu-ting a rope to feed a animal would be so fun…

I also enjoyed the tones of the game and the sounds Om Nom makes when he gets the candy and when he gets no candy.

The animations are very well design and in great quality and details…

Clock Free is a great application, it tells time! Yes, and also has a alarm clock and you can select a tone or a radio channel for the alarm.

Touch the Screen to change colors and the illumination!

You know what´s the best thing about it? Its free…

Talking Tom is a well design 3D Characters, the most popular is Tom the cat.

This application is basically to have fun with the animations it is displayed.

You can record what you do with them and upload to youtube!

A very interesting thing about this application is that you can be interactive with the characters, but wait! He repeats what you say

with is funny voice!!!

You can punch the cat, for example, and he responds…

You can get realy bored with it soon, but don´t worry theres more animations for you to download!

The down side, is that not all are for free.

I recommend this application for people that likes animals or for people that enjoy a good laugh buy making a cat say anything.
